Public Events and Programs

In support of Crossroads’ founding commitment to the greater community, the School offers many public events including art exhibits, performances and athletic competitions. In addition, we offer opportunities for community members of all ages to take part in special community programs.

  • Art Exhibits

    Arts Exhibits

    The Sam Francis Gallery, located in the Peter Boxenbaum Arts Education Centre at Crossroads, is dedicated to displaying student art and presenting cutting-edge exhibitions of work by locally and nationally renowned artists.   • Dance Performances

    Dance Performances

    Crossroads K-12 Dance presents on-campus shows featuring Elementary, Middle and Upper School students throughout the school year. These performances highlight guest artists’ work as well as instructor-generated choreography and student-created dances. In addition, students periodically travel to local community venues (children’s dance festivals, senior homes, farmers markets, etc.) to perform.
  • Theater Performances

    Theater Performances

    Crossroads Theatre hosts a variety of student productions each school year, including plays, musicals, classical theater, improvisational shows and original performances.   • Music Concerts

    Music Concerts

    Crossroads proudly presents a yearly schedule of concerts featuring our gifted music students. Performances and recitals highlight musicians from Crossroads’ Elizabeth Mandell Music Institute (EMMI) and a variety of Elementary, Middle and Upper School ensembles.   • Vocal Concerts

    Vocal Concerts

    Crossroads’ choral program offers concerts by the Upper School’s 21st Street Singers, the Middle School’s Overtones and the Adult Chorus, with group performances and solo vocal shows organized throughout the school year.
  • Athletic Events

    Athletic Events

    Crossroads has over 50 sports teams, including basketball, volleyball, tennis and swimming. We invite members of the community to come cheer on the Crossroads Roadrunners at home and away competitions. Click here for a schedule of upcoming athletics events.

  • Equity & Justice Lecture Series

    The Equity & Justice Distinguished Lecture Series—a feature of Crossroads School’s Equity & Justice Institute—is free and open to the public. The series brings noted scholars and activists to campus to help stimulate dialogue among students, educators and community leaders committed to tackling the problems of racism, poverty, war, environmental degradation, educational inequities, religious persecution, genocide and other forms of injustice.

  • Aquatics Programs

    The Crossroads Pool is home to a variety of programming for students, including swim instruction, conditioning and competitions. The facility also hosts private swim lessons (April through October) and our year-round Wave Runners development programs, both of which are open to the public.

  • Summer at Crossroads

    Summer at Crossroads offers a variety of courses as unique as Crossroads’ school-year programming. Summer at Crossroads is open to the public, and there is no formal admission process. Limited, need-based financial assistance is available by application.
